Dear Potomac Valley LMSC Member,
The District of Columbia Aquatics Club (DCAC) is proud to
host the 18th Annual Maryland Swim for Life on July 11,
2009. This 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5-mile open water swim in
Maryland's Chester River benefits local charities who help
those afflicted with HIV/AIDS. The swim starts and
finishes at Rolph's Wharf near Chestertown, MD.
As of this past week, registration is now open! This is a
sanctioned USMS event this year (through Maryland LMSC), so
all participants must be USMS members. For those who are
not USMS members, one-event USMS memberships ("OEVTs") will
be available for a fee ($15) at check-in on the day of the
event.
We are urging everyone to use online registration, at
www.firstgiving.com/swim4life.
However, we will still accept in person race-day
registrants, too.
Will you please pass this along to members of your team on
our behalf? We appreciate your help, and hope to see you
in July!
Sincerely,
Dan Pisut
