Spring 2010 Meet

Dear Sea Devils Clinic Swimmers and Parents,
We will be holding our Spring Meet on May 23 – Sunday afternoon at the Lab School.
The meet experience for young athletes reinforces and improves their capabilities. We strongly encourage all swimmers to participate and enter the meet in a maximum of four events. Should you need any assistance with choosing events, please talk to one of the coaches.

Please bring the entry form to your coach May 15/16 or email your swimmer’s events to Johannedanver@seadevils.org no later than 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 16, 2010.

The meet entry form is available here. This will be the final Sunday session of the 2009-10 clinic season.

Because we want all clinic swimmers to participate, and our coaching staff will be busy with the meet, we will not be holding clinic at either Holton or Madeira on May 23.

In order for our meet to run smoothly it is essential for all parents to volunteer for a “job”. Please be sure to sign up on the meet entry form in order for our meet to run smoothly.

Welcome to the 2009-10 Capitol Sea Devils Clinic! We hope the following information will be helpful

                  Things to know:

• The coaches recommend that each swimmer have a Speedo- type swimsuit, cap, goggles, and fins. For the first few clinic session’s swimmers will only need to have a swimsuit and goggles. Our team supplier is Sport Fair 5010 Lee Highway, Arlington VA 22207 phone:703/534-9500.
• The fall clinic meet will be held November 15 at the Madeira school with a late afternoon into evening session.   More information to follow as the dates approach.  The spring meet is TBD.
• Parents are asked to sit in the bleachers or other designated area to observe practices.
•  We want to remind our Sea Devils that we are guests at the facilities we swim in, and ask that everyone be respectful of these properties. Please use the locker rooms with care and park in the appropriate areas. Madeira parents will be given SDS stickers to show for entrance at the gatehouse.
• The coaches will be happy to speak with you before or after practice concerning any questions you or your swimmer may have.
